Code of Conduct
While all games organized by the Nashua Senior Softball League (NSS) should be played with the intent to win, the goal of the League is to have a fun positive experience, to compete and to play in a sportsmanship manner. It is extremely essential that all League games are conducted with respect and dignity to all members of the League, and respective of the League Rules.
1. Any member of the League, player, umpire or spectator who discredits the
League by unsportsmanlike actions or conduct not in accord with League rules
and Code of Ethics shall be subject to disciplinary action including, without
limitation, censure, ejection, suspension and/or termination of membership.
2. Violation of bad behavior shall include:
(a) Threats, profane language or gestures directed at any player, umpire,
spectator or scorekeeper.
(b) Physical or verbal assault towards any player, umpire or spectator.
(c) Taunting, ridiculing, berating, threatening or any type of deceitful actions.
(d) Intentionally and/or repeatedly violating league rules.
3. Any alleged violation of the Code of Conduct should be brought to the attention
of the League President as soon as reasonably possible for further review.
4. The President may appoint a mediator; or full review board to investigate any
alleged violation.
5. The President has the discretionary authority to temporarily suspend any player
if he believes that there exists a risk of physical or verbal assault should the
alleged violator(s) remain active.
6. Following a full review, the mediator or review board shall inform the League
President of any recommendations and who, at his discretion may take
immediate action; or refer the matter to the NSS Board of Directors for further
review, investigation or action.
7. The NSS Board shall have the right to take such actions as it deems reasonable
and in the best interest of the League.
8. The President, or his representative, shall inform the offending player of any
disciplinary action, suspension and/or termination as soon as reasonably
possible.
9. Penalties may, without limitation, include any of the following:
(a) An oral or written reprimand
(b) An oral or written warning
(c) A suspension of 1 or more games
(d) A remainder of the season suspension with no dues returned
(e) A suspension for the next NSS season
(f) A lifetime expulsion from any and all NSS activities

Players & Managers
All players are encouraged to read and become familiar with the NSS Player Rules. Changes have been made to some rules fhat could affect all players. There are no excuses for not knowing the rules of play. Players should also read the Player Code of Ethics and be familiar with their Member Rights. This will help to avoid any misunderstanding during the season.
